UNITEN has been awarded the BrandLaureate Awards 2010-2011 for Best Brands in Tertiary Education (Engineering). The award was presented by Datuk Dr. KK Johan, BrandLaureate President, which was held on March 23, 2011 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Bank Negara Governor was also present at the ceremony as Guest of Honor. This special award was received on behalf of Universiti Tenaga Nasional by the Vice chancellor of UNITEN, Prof. Dato Ir. Dr. Mashkuri Yaacob.

This BrandLaureate Awards is the synonym to brand excellence. UNITEN has accomplished its mission to educate the students with excellence through its good quality structure of programmes, faculities and facilites provided for the students as well as the staffs of UNITEN. Winning this award shows that UNITEN is capable to generate students with good quality values, and skillfull.
By receiving this prestigious award, UNITEN has become a well known institute. Hence, students who have graduated from uniten will have a brighter career and wider job opportunities.
UNITEN is confident in making rapid progress and moving from strength to strength, as it pursues its goal to become the benchmark for other universities in all its aspects of the educational experience.
UNITEN has won awards for academic and extra-curricular. UNITEN grabs eleven medals at Malaysia Technology Expo in 2010. Malaysia Technology Expo 2010 was held in Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur on 4th until 6th February 2010. UNITEN have sent a total of 14 inventions to participate in this event. UNITEN team, ten inventions from College of Engineering (COE) and four inventions from College of Information Technology (COIT) won three gold medals, three silver medals and five bronze medals. In addition, Dr. Rohayu Che Omar from COE won the Taiwan Invention Product Promotion Association or TIPPA Special Award for her invention entitled INNOVATIVE MONITORING RATING SYSTEM (IMRS). UNITEN was also successful in winning the third prize for the Best Booth Design Award under the Shell Scheme Category.
ReplyDeleteMalaysia Technology Expo 2010 - the largest invention and innovation Expo in Malaysia, well participated by local and international private organizations, government and higher learning institutions. Listed as 'Malaysia's Largest Science & Technology Event' in the Malaysian Book of Records in the year 2001, the Malaysia Technology Expo has since grown from strength to strength with 10,500 visitors at MTE 2009.UNITEN producing an outstanding inventors with innovations and excellent talent in the future industries.
It's amazing and remarkable as the University of Tenaga Nasional has won a total of 24 medals at ITEX 2010. ITEX 2010 continues to showcase the latest inventions and innovations by higher learning and research Institutions, individual inventors and from the corporate sectors of the Asia and European countries. The Exhibition also functions as an international platform to promote and ENHANCE the development and Utilization of inventions and designs. It creates opportunities for building networks between local and international inventors and Scientists worldwide and exposure of maximizes award winning products and technologies to a global audience. Both individuals and companies will find opportunity in ITEX 2010 to market THEIR inventions and secure business ventures with investors. UNITEN not only took part in the ITEX 2010, but also have won here.
ReplyDeleteITEX 2010 was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre - Kuala Lumpur City Centre for 3 consecutive days, from 14 to 16 May 2010. UNITEN highlighted in ITEX 2010 by sending a team of twenty five inventions; fifteen from the College of Engineering (COE), six from the College of Business Administration (COBA), three from the College of Information Technology (COIT) and one from ITMS. UNITEN won 24 medals in total i.e. 9 Gold, 9 Silver and 6 Bronze. In addition, three of our projects won the Special Awards, which was presented during the Malam Budaya Cipta ceremony in KLCC.UNITEN produce students who are highly dedicated and capable of raising the name the university.
UNITEN has been awarded the International Standard Quality Award (ISQ) 2011 for Quality College and Universities in the year of 2011. This award plays a very big role towards the future of UNITEN. I say this because this award classifies UNITEN as a World Recognize University. It shows that UNITEN has got the international standard. It means that UNITEN matches the education level of other countries in this world. Moreover, students these days looks forward to study in a university which has got the international standard because students would like to work abroad after completing their studies in a university. If a university is does not qualify for the international standard, student may not want to enroll themselves in that university. All in all, students who wants to study in UNITEN does not need to feel insecure about their future career because UNITEN has the prove that UNITEN is Internationally Qualified.
